Yesterday the Nature House was on the news as it was announced that we would be opening our doors this spring for the first time in three years (we have had short openings during salmon run but not the spring). We are working hard to get things rolling including our retail space. Our website, NatureHouse.ca is currently broken and we are unable to edit it. Please check back here for information as we will confirm opening times for the Nature House and public programs soon. Our goal is to open our doors to the public on Friday June 9, 2023- we are busy training our very excited Discover Parks Ambassadors this week.

“This is my first Coho dissection for my last school group of the season.” Caden, affectionately named by the kids “Salmon Man”, took on the role of salmon dissection expert this season and brought so much enthusiasm, energy and respect to learning about the outside and inside of salmon. Saturday, Dec 10, is your last chance to visit Caden in the park before the Nature House closes to the public for the winter!

🎄This is our version of trees decorated for the holiday season! Aren’t our decorations majestic!? How many eagles can you count? Often they will wait in the trees for the tide to go out in the estuary and more salmon carcasses to be uncovered for them to eat…because they are hungry!
